Set up CatalogBadge with Zid

Zid’s Meta and Snapchat apps send your products to those platforms directly, without a feed URL that anyone else can read. CatalogBadge needs to read your products, so you generate a product feed link in your Zid dashboard first. It takes a minute and needs no extra app.

Coming soon: CatalogBadge as an app in the Zid app market. You install it and we read your products directly, with no feed URL to copy. It only reads products and never changes your store. Until it is listed, use the steps below.

1. Get your feed URL from Zid

  1. In your Zid dashboard, open Online store, then SEO, then Product feeds.
  2. Choose Meta as the platform, your store’s main language and your currency, then generate the link.
  3. Copy the link Zid gives you. It is a feed on your store’s own domain.
Zid’s feed uses its own product id rather than your SKU, and your store’s name as the brand. That is fine for us. If a column ever needs renaming, the Column map on your store’s Overview page tells us which column is which (see input feeds).

2. Add the feed to CatalogBadge

  1. Create your account on app.catalogbadge.com, then choose Onboard a store.
  2. Feed: paste the feed URL. We read it and show sample products with their prices, plus anything Meta would reject. Nothing is saved yet.
  3. Store: confirm the store name, platform (Zid), country, currency, time zone and the language of the feed.
  4. Template, Brand and QA preview: pick your designs and check your products as finished images.
  5. Feed URLs: copy your Meta feed URL, then choose Go live.

Images are drawn while your plan or free trial is active. Until then your feeds carry your own product photos. See pricing.

3. Add our images to your Meta catalog

Keep Zid’s Meta integration connected: it still sends your prices and stock to Meta. In Commerce Manager, add our meta-supp.csv as a supplementary feed on the catalog Zid created. It changes only the images. The steps are in the Meta guide.

Snapchat

Snapchat has no supplementary feeds. A catalog that the Zid Snapchat app fills cannot take our images on top; it would need our Snapchat feed as its product source instead. Write to hello@catalogbadge.com before you change a Snapchat catalog that is running ads, and we will go through it with you. The general steps are in the Snapchat guide.
