Set up CatalogBadge with WooCommerce
WooCommerce does not publish a product feed on its own. Stores get one from a feed plugin, such as Product Feed PRO or CTX Feed, which writes the file to a URL on your site. CatalogBadge reads that file and publishes a copy of it in which only the image links change.
1. Get a feed URL from a feed plugin
- In WordPress, go to Plugins → Add New and install a product feed plugin.
- Create a feed in Google Shopping or Facebook (Meta) format, as XML or CSV. Include the id, title, price, sale price, availability, link and image of each product, plus the brand if you have one.
- Set the plugin to refresh the file on a schedule (hourly or daily), so the file we read is current.
- Copy the feed URL. It usually sits under
/wp-content/uploads/on your domain.
2. Add the feed to CatalogBadge
- Create your account on app.catalogbadge.com, then choose Onboard a store.
- Feed: paste the feed URL. We read it and show sample products with their prices, plus anything Meta would reject. Nothing is saved yet.
- Store: confirm the store name, platform (WooCommerce), country, currency, time zone and the language of the feed.
- Template, Brand and QA preview: pick your designs and check your products as finished images.
- Feed URLs: copy your feed URLs, then choose Go live.
Images are drawn while your plan or free trial is active. Until then your feeds carry your own product photos.
3. If your export uses its own column names
A CSV export can name columns its own way, for example regular_price for the price or stock_status with instock and outofstock. We do not guess which column is which, because a wrong guess could put a wrong price on an image. Open the Column map on your store’s Overview page, say which column holds each field, and use the dry run to see the result before you save. Details are in input feeds.
4. Put our feed into your Meta catalog
How your products reach Meta today decides which of our feeds you use:
- Your catalog reads a feed file (the plugin’s URL is a scheduled data feed in Commerce Manager): replace that URL with our
meta-full.xml. It carries every field of yours unchanged apart from the image links, and you can paste your old URL back at any time. - Your catalog is synced by Facebook for WooCommerce: keep the plugin, and add our
meta-supp.csvas a supplementary feed. It only changes the images, and it matches products by id, so the ids in your feed plugin must be the same ids the Meta plugin gives your products. Compare a few products in Commerce Manager first.
The steps are in the Meta guide; Snapchat works the same way (Snapchat guide). Questions about your plugin’s export? Write to hello@catalogbadge.com.
