Add CatalogBadge to your TikTok catalog
TikTok catalog ads read products from a catalog in TikTok Ads Manager. Add our TikTok feed to that catalog and your ads show the branded images, in the 1:1 size with the 4:5 and 9:16 images as extra images. You work in your own Ads Manager; we never have access to your ad account.
Your TikTok feed URL
In CatalogBadge, open your store. The Overview page lists your tiktok-full.csv URL with the other feeds, and the last step of the setup wizard shows it too. Treat it like a password.
tiktok-full.csv is a full feed: every active product TikTok accepts, with sku_id as the id and every other field of your feed passed through. TikTok has no supplementary feeds, so the TikTok file is always the whole catalog. An XML twin, tiktok-full.xml, holds the same products.
Add the feed in TikTok Ads Manager
- Open TikTok Ads Manager, go to Assets, then Catalogs, and open the catalog your ads use (or create one).
- Choose to add products by data feed and paste your
tiktok-full.csvURL. - Set the schedule to hourly and the update method to Replace, then save.
TikTok’s guides: create and manage catalogs and the catalog product fields.
Which products are in the TikTok file
- A product goes into the TikTok file only when TikTok will take it: all of TikTok’s required fields, including brand and condition, and a title without emoji or promotional words such as “free shipping” or “30% off”. The rest stay in your Meta and Snapchat feeds.
- Your store’s dashboard shows how many products are ready for TikTok and what the others miss. A missing brand or condition can be filled for the whole feed with an added column on the TikTok channel.
- Products whose new image is not drawn yet go out with their original photo, never an old image.
Keep the catalog fresh
TikTok pauses catalog updates after 28 days without spend on catalog ads. If you stop running TikTok catalog ads for a while, prices and badges there can go stale until you start again. Your Meta, Snapchat and Pinterest catalogs are not affected.
Items still show the old image
- TikTok has not fetched since the change. Check the feed’s last update in the catalog and its schedule.
- The new image is not drawn yet. After a price, sale or title change, the feed shows your own photo until the new image exists, so an old price never shows.
- The schedule is set to Update. Switch it to Replace.
Product video for TikTok, on Pro and Enterprise, goes into the same file: product video. Every file we publish is in output feeds.
