Where your data is
Last updated: 24 October 2026
CatalogBadge runs on Cloudflare. This page says where each kind of data is kept, as read from our Cloudflare account on 24 October 2026. If any of it moves, we update this page and email account owners before it happens. Our commitments are in the data processing agreement.
Where data is stored
- Database (accounts, stores, settings, product data, update records): Cloudflare D1, primary copy in Eastern North America. No read copies elsewhere.
- Files (your logo, copies of your product photos, cut-outs, the images we draw, the feed files we build, snapshots of your feed): two Cloudflare R2 buckets, both in Eastern North America.
- Backups: one encrypted copy of the database and logos a night, at Backblaze B2 in the eastern United States, kept up to 3 months. Backblaze cannot read them.
Where data is processed
- Serving images and feeds: from the Cloudflare data center nearest whoever fetches them (Meta, Snapchat, TikTok, Pinterest), anywhere in the world, with short-lived cache copies there.
- Updates and drawing images (feed reading, the browser that draws images, background removal): in Cloudflare data centers that Cloudflare picks for each job. They keep nothing once the job ends; the results go to the storage above.
- AI text, only if you turn it on: product titles and short description excerpts go to Anthropic in the United States.
- Support and operations: The Growth Folks runs the service from India, so the people who answer your requests reach the data from there.
The full list of companies involved is on the sub-processor list, and how long each kind of data is kept is in the privacy policy.
Keeping data in one region
Today every store's data is kept in the places above; we do not store data in the Gulf, the European Union or India, and we do not offer a choice of region. If your business needs its data kept inside a particular region before it can buy, write to hello@catalogbadge.com before you sign up and tell us which region and which rule requires it, so we can say plainly whether and when we can do it.
