WooCommerce to TikTok: branded catalog ad images
WooCommerce stores get branded TikTok catalog ad images by giving CatalogBadge the URL of their feed plugin and adding our tiktok-full.csv to a TikTok catalog on an hourly Replace schedule. The plugin’s file is read once, and each channel gets its own. CatalogBadge plans start at $49 a month in US dollars, and your feeds carry your own photos until a plan or free trial is active.
Step 1: get your product feed from WooCommerce
- WooCommerce has no product feed of its own, so install a feed plugin such as Product Feed PRO or CTX Feed from Plugins, then Add New.
- Create a feed in Google Shopping or Facebook format, XML or CSV, with each product’s id, title, price, sale price, availability, link, image and brand.
- Set the plugin to refresh the file hourly or daily, then copy its URL, usually under /wp-content/uploads/ on your domain.
A CSV export may call the price regular_price and stock instock or outofstock. Tell us which column is which in the Column map; a wrong guess could put a wrong price on an image, so we never guess.
Step 2: add the feed to CatalogBadge
Create your account, choose Onboard a store and paste the feed URL. The wizard shows sample products with their prices before anything is saved, then you pick your designs, check them in the preview and go live. Create your account
The WooCommerce setup guide has every screen of the wizard.
Step 3: put tiktok-full.csv into TikTok
Which file you paste depends on how your TikTok catalog gets products today:
| Your TikTok catalog today | Paste | What you do |
|---|---|---|
| Reads the plugin’s URL on a data feed schedule | tiktok-full.csv | Swap the URL for ours and set the update method to Replace. |
| Synced by a TikTok plugin | tiktok-full.csv | Use a catalog our file fills alone, so the plugin and our file never send the same products to one catalog. |
In TikTok
- In TikTok Ads Manager, open Assets, then Catalogs, and choose the catalog for your catalog ads.
- Add products with a data feed schedule and paste your tiktok-full.csv URL.
- Set the schedule to hourly and the update method to Replace, so a product that leaves our file leaves the catalog too. Update would keep it with its old price and image.
- Use one of our two TikTok files per catalog, the CSV or its XML twin, never both: TikTok refuses a product that a second data source already added.
The image TikTok gets

TikTok’s file carries the 1:1 image first and, when you turn them on, the 4:5 and 9:16 renders as additional images, JPG or PNG, at most ten per product. The 9:16 is the one shown here. TikTok has no supplementary feed, so this file is your whole TikTok catalog.
Watch out
WordPress often stores product photos as WebP, and TikTok takes JPG and PNG only. Our renders are always JPG, so a branded product goes in; a product still on its own WebP photo stays out of the TikTok file until its render exists.
Check that it worked
- The Overview page lists how many products went into the TikTok file and, per reason, the ones left out.
- In Ads Manager the catalog shows its last schedule run, the products taken and any rejected.
- TikTok pauses catalog updates after 28 days without catalog ad spend, so prices there go stale while those ads are off.
Questions
My plugin exports brand as a custom attribute. Will TikTok see it?
Map that column to brand in the Column map, or add brand as a TikTok column under Feed & mapping. TikTok takes no product without one.
My plugin writes the feed only once a day. Is that enough?
Your images can only be as fresh as the file we read. Set the plugin to hourly if it allows; we check your feed on every sync and draw only what changed.
